General Questions

A Malaysia visit visa (also known as a tourist visa) allows foreign nationals to enter Malaysia for short stays — usually for tourism, visiting family/friends, or attending short business meetings.

Citizens of certain countries need a visa before traveling, while others can enter visa-free for a limited period. Check the Malaysian Immigration Department’s website for your country’s requirements.

Single-entry visa: Valid for one entry; stay up to 30 days. • Multiple-entry visa: For frequent travelers (e.g., business visitors). • eVisa / eNTRI: Electronic travel authorization for certain nationalities (like India, China).

Usually valid for 6 months from the date of issue. The stay allowed per visit is typically up to 30 days.

Extensions are generally not permitted except under special circumstances, such as medical emergencies or unavoidable delays.
